This photo was taken from up in the rafters at NJPAC, the NJ Performing Arts Center, a gem in the heart of downtown Newark, New Jersey. The photography by Arthur Paxton mirrors the ongoing transformation of Newark itself.

It showcases a student’s transition from his childhood in Newark to working on his MBA at Seton Hall.

We tell the story of a successful Seton Hall alum whose business is headquartered in the downtown area in a beautifully restored historic building. His company’s goal is to help revitalize the city of Newark.

The article also showcases civil rights attorney Shavar Jeffries, a Newark native who teaches at the Seton Hall School of Law in Newark.
